Our projects produced research and developed strategies and tools to meet the needs of the child care workforce and achieve related goals. Click on the titles of our projects for more information.

Employee benefits are optional, non-wage compensation provided to employees in addition to their normal wages or salaries.

 

Individuals certified in Early Childhood Education in another province or territory may apply for Classification in Nova Scotia under the Agreement on Internal Trade and The Labour Mobility Act.

The CCHRSC worked collaboratively with a number of early childhood education and care (ECEC) employers who provided their expertise as well as samples of their HR resources, tools and templates. These have been added to the extensive toolkit content for broad use by the ECEC sector.

Performance management is a process by which managers and employees work together to plan, monitor and review an employee’s work objectives and overall contribution to the organization.

Debbie Thompson got “hooked on child care” when she worked in a child care centre part-time while studying psychology at the University of British Columbia.
