Policies and procedures communicate the values of your organization and provide everyone with a consistent process to follow.  It is important that employers understand and comply with applicable employment laws. The HR policies and practices that your organization uses must reflect the local laws and regulations around each issue.

In 1975, Sylvie Melsbach was unhappy at her job as a pattern designer. Then she learned about an opening at a child care centre and applied. Thirty years later, she’s still with les Mousses du Mont.

Conflict exists in every organization and to a certain extent indicates a healthy exchange of ideas and creativity.

Child care organizations are complex. Early childhood educators form collaborative partnerships with children’s families that honour their role as the child’s primary caregiver, respect their parenting practices, and provide meaningful opportunities for families to determine their children’s early learning and care experiences.
